Shades of Autumn

There is no getting away from it, Autumn is here to stay.
Time to dig out the boots and add a warm jacket.
Out of all the months, October is my least favourite followed closely by November.
Why?
October marks the death of light and warmth and it also marks the month that I lost my father and some close friends.
November means we are as far away from summer as possible
In the past I have seen these as months to get over.
This year I will try to embrace the best the season has to offer otherwise there will be 61 days of my life I won't get back.
Can you help?
What's great about October?

I wore:
Boots - Clarks
Dress - Boden
Jacket - Paul Costelloe
Bag - Clarks

  1. I like October here when we often have the last of our "Indian Summer" weather. I like seeing the change of the seasons. I like the golden light and the colors in the landscape. I usually have trouble with January and February when we normally have rain for days on end.

You look well dressed for the season.

  3. Hello Jane,
great in October is that we can wear boots with nice skirts and warm blazers. Like you do. I love your lady of the manor style. Great in October also are the trees with their marvellous color pallete.

  4. Yep, been bloody cold here today too.
What's great about October? Half term. Boots. Tights. X Factor and Strictly. Homemade soup. Bright low sun on a cold day. I know you can have almost all these any time, but they work for me! xxx
