Birthday Boy Part Two

Twenty three years ago I went into labour on my husband's 26th birthday.
Of course, we were eating curry!
Sam had the good grace to wait until 9.15 the next morning to make an appearance so he had his own birthday.
Today he is 23, a primary school teacher with a beautiful girlfriend who is as lovely on the inside as she looks on the outside.
He has made his mum proud.

Birthday Boy Part One

Today is my husband's 49th birthday.
He's still the same to me even though I met him when he was just turned 20!

We went for a family lunch and then Sam  took the birthday boy to Anfield to watch his beloved Liverpool.

Tonight we are off to friend's.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Mellow Yellow

Do I look mellow?
I don't feel it.
Today I will be teaching my first proper yoga class to the staff at the sixth form college where I work.
I have been practising teaching the class to my friends but teaching teachers.
That is scary.

Shoes - Clarks
Leggings - sweaty Betty

A Magical Mystery Tour

Let me share my Sunday morning magical, mystery ride with you.
It was a lovely morning and I decided to cycle to my 10am appointment.
This track is just a few hundred yards from my house.

It's a long traffic free cycle path which runs alongside the Liverpool to Southport railway line.

The paths takes me across the River Alt.
Just look at those clouds reflected on the water.

The end of the track brings me to the village of Hightown.
This is the road of old fishermen's cottages where my husband used to live when I first met him.

At the end of Hightown village is another path which runs alongside Liverpool Bay.

At the end of this track is Crosby Coastguard station where I have to leave and ride on some real road.

And here I am, 34 minutes and and six miles later just in time for my 10am Ashtanga Class which was jwonderful.
And I didn't pass one moving car all the way here.

Back To School

It's back to school for my youngest son today, although myself and my eldest son (who is a primary school teacher), have been back for a while.
I love the start of a new term, the fresh start, the new pens and of course, the new clothes.
Not that I am wearing any today as these are all old favourites.
However, I do have my eye on some new Clarks' shoes, I am just waiting for their usual 20% off offer.
I love September.
I went into labour on my husband's 26th birthday (September 13th) and Sam was born on September 14th.
This year I have got them a joint birthday present which I hope they enjoy.
And today I heard that the weather in September will be better than August.
What do you love most about September?
