First Up, Best Dressed

I had forgotten about this top until I saw my daughter wearing it the other day.
She also had my necklace on and I made a mental  note to get up early and grab it.

As my dad used to day:

"First up, best dressed."

And here's a close-up of the Next necklace.

I wore:

Shoes - Clarks
Jeans - Tesco
Top - Dorothy Perkins
Necklace - Next

  2. I like how that shade of blue/turquoise goes with those jeans. I have some that colour and have been trying to find a brighter top to go with them apart from white/cream and darker/lighter shades of camel or brown.

Amd loving that motto, "First up, best dressed" which would apply more to my daughters than me these days.

  3. Your post makes me smile Jane! Not only your gorgeous outfit - I love that color combination - but also because it reminds me to my daughter. We had a scarf together, a very nice scarf. We both love it. The one who get's up first always was the winner.
    Have a great weekend!

  4. I like these colors together - and it's a funny thing but, in my case when i lived at home, MY mom would raid MY closet.

  5. Hi Jane, it's nice to meet you. I popped over after reading your comment on Sabine's blog. Rain and cool temps. I'm in Vancouver and experiencing the same non-summer weather for the most part.

Anyhoo, at 5' 2", I've been reluctant to wear a maxi, and you have inspired me to give it a whirl. I've looked through some of your posts, and you have many fabulous outfits that showcase maxi skirts, and at 5' 1"! Thank you for that.

I've got you in my bloglovin'.

  6. That necklace makes such a great statement -- it really pumps up the style of the simple top and draws the eye to your pretty face :)

  7. Nice, the necklace is a great piece. How lucky you can share clothes with you daughter - as long as you can get there first!
