Capsule Wardrobe Challenge - Day Four
Today is a very good news day.
After battling for seven years my husband took his employers (a large public body) to an Employment Tribunal.
During that time my husband has suffered from severe bouts of depression, ill health and it has affected seven years of my children's family life.
His depression was so bad that on at least two occasions our marriage almost ended.
A three-day hearing took place in July.
And today he heard he had won.
I cannot express what relief I feel.
But as many of you have folllowed me during the darker days and left messages of support (even though I couldn't say what was happening) I wanted to share my joy with you.
And if anyone is fighting an uphill struggle against unjust employers then keep the faith.
Miracles can, and do happen.
Today I wore:
Tan boots - Dorothy Perkins
Stone skirt - Gap
Stone Bag - Wallis
T-shirt - Gap
Cardigan - Zara

How wonderful for you all, Jane. A three day hearing... that alone must have been intense.
ReplyDeleteThose are good news :) Hope that from now on you can leave that behind and have happy new life.
ReplyDeleteThat's great news indeed! I'm so happy for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your support. We now have to wait for another hearing to decide damages but that is so unimportant. My husband has been proved right - and that is all that matters!
ReplyDeleteMeli - thanks for the tip!
This bring so much happiness to my heart for you and your family. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, that sounds like a huge ordeal.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your husband and your family, and I hope that it will be a huge relief to have this struggle behind you!
That's wonderful news! Having experiences both personal and with depressive family members, I know how hard it is to deal with. All the best to your husband and your whole family!
ReplyDeleteI also love the color of this wrap!
(btw, I've experienced some trouble with commenting on your blog, it often tells me there are problems with my open ID... do you have any idea why that is?)
Happy news! I always like to hear a happy ending - even if it did take too long.
