We had a lovely barbecue at my husband's aunt's house at the weekend.
They live in an enormous Victorian semi in Blundellsands with a lovely big mature garden.
This time of year the borders are bursting with colour and I very much enjoy sitting out and basking in the floral glory.
This time my youngest son took his guitar and we had music while we ate.
My own garden is much more modest but here are a few of the pots I have added.
One day when I have more time I dream about creating a colourful scented garden with fruit trees and bushes.
Until then I will have to be content with visits to Aunty Eileen's.
Today I wore:
Shoes - Clarks (31)
Denim Shirt (21)
Dress - TK Maxx (20)
love the photo, you look so happy!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you said that. I have had one of the most chllenging weekends of my life and I have tried to remain positive.
DeleteYou find a ton of opportunities to style up those leopard print shoes. I have some in my closet and always forget they're in there. I feel like I have to think of those first and then do the outfit around them. Do you do that? Or just slip them on in the end? Either way you always look great in them!
ReplyDeleteHi Joni. My friends described these flats as "neutral" and when you think of them in that way they just go with everything.
DeleteYou look gorgeous and fabulously glam here! x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely kind comment. Thank You.
DeleteI think this is a lovely picture, you look so happy and totally gorgeous, agree with Vix wholeheartedly x
ReplyDeleteI always admire a beautiful garden, but I suspect that I'll never have the patience needed to create one myself.
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit!
ReplyDeleteI think your little 'baby garden' is very pretty. How nice that you have your auntie's garden and home to visit!
love the gingham and chambray - and that sounds like a wonderful garden to be in!
