A Happy Christmas To All
Happy Christmas to everyone.
2010 has been a challenging year but on the whole it has been a good one.
Nobody ever said life was going to be easy and while there have been sad events throughout the year; there is still much to be grateful for.
School finished on Friday and while I wasn't feeling very Christmassy; I was looking forward to the time off with my family.
At 6pm my children were all out and my husband had just come home from work.
We settled down to watch Macbeth with a large glass of red wine each when we noticed something flickering through the blinds.
It was snow.
I love the snow.
The children all came home safely and then at midnight we took the dog for a walk.
The snow was still coming down and it was like something out of Narnia.
We went to bed cold, happy and full of Christmas cheer.
My dad would have loved it.
It has been minus 15 here but still I won't complain.
I love the snow.
I love the way people help each other.
I love the way the world slows down.
I love how beautiful it all looks.
Despite everything - it is still a beautiful world.
I may not have as much time to blog while I continue my studies but I will be stopping by to wish you all a Merry Christmas.
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

ReplyDeleteHappy New Year. Bizarrely, one of the things I miss about the UK is snow :-)
ReplyDeleteSeriously considering the capsule challenge...with the added challenge that I would like to make some garments to wear! My summer wardrobe is sadly lacking and at this moment consists of one pair of denim trousers and a black and white skirt!! Plenty of t's though and seem to be managing so far ;-)
Merry Christmas to you and yours. May 2011 bring you much joy.
