Kate

Kate

There can only be one name for this dress.
It combines the lace favoured by Kate Middleton.
It has the corset style and black/nude shades of Kate Moss's dress.
And the bodycon dresses (emphasising the child bearing hips) favoured by Kate Winslet.
I picked the dress up from Marks and Spencer's Autograph range in the Christmas sale two years ago.
It is made of a very heavy jersey and although I am carrying a little extra weight at the moment it is very forgiving.

I wore the dress for a Christmas meal out with the family and my son's girlfriend.
It still looked good after a four course meal!

Dita

Dita

When I first wore this dress with a fascinator it had a retro feel to it.
I have worn it many times since but it always reminds me of Dita Von Teese - maybe the netting on the fascinator.

It cost less than £20 from Matalan and is made of a heavy cotton with a lovely tulle lining.
I always feel a bit special when I wear this dress.

Petal

This is my first day dress.
It is the dress I wore to start my present job.
However, it reminded me of my first day when I was on placement at a High School.
I was terrified of forgetting the names of my class until a kindly old English teacher sat in my lesson and gave me some reassuring feedback.
At the bottom she had written "Don't worry about remembering their names, if you forget, just call them Petal."
While the advice may have worked with my year 7s, it wasn't much use with the burly bottom set of boys in year 10!
Still, the name Petal is one I find reassuring - just like this dress.

Clothes Show Giveaway Winner is....

Sorry no outfit photo post for the past few days as I caught my son's winter vomiting bug along with
my 12-year-old and spent the past two days in bed.

The two of us are almost recovered and normal service will resume tomorrow.

Congratulations to Vix, the parcel is on its way thanks to my husband who has popped out to the post office.

Hannah

According to my name book, Hannah is a gracious one.
Most of the Hannahs I have ever met have been thoroughly nice and thoughtful people.
On a busy day and feeling under the weather Hannah is a thoughtful and gracious dress.
She doesn't draw attention to the fact that I ate my  bodyweight in Chinese takeaway last night or remind me that every bump will be noticeable under the Christmas Party frocks I intend to wear next week.
Instead Hannah wraps her soft jersey around me and tells me I have nothing to worry about.
I am safe and loved under her warm fabric.

It is the final day today.
Linking to visible Monday.

Belinda Black

Belinda's back.
I needed a quick go-to after a sleepless night looking after my 17-year-old son who has caught the Winter Vomiting Bug.
I am just praying no-one else gets it but if you don't see me for a while you will know where I am.

I hope those germs realise that this mother has got a Christmas to organise and she hasn't even written the Christmas Cards yet.
It took two days to get our artificial tree up this week.
I am hoping to buy the real one today.

Hope you have a germ-free weekend.

Lucy

Meet Loulou's older sister, Lucy.
Lucy was my daytime LBD for a good few years before Loulou was born.
I can't remember how much I paid but it was under £20 and this dress has served me well.
It is the perfect length and hugs in all the right places, it always makes me feel loved, if you can be by a dress!

Over halfway through Dressember and I am only slightly starting to crave skirts. Not pants though. Not at all.

Don't forget to add your name to my Clothes Show giveaway.
