To Monetise Or Not To Monetise?

By popular request here's a picture of my new haircut.
Thank You so much for all your suggestions which helped make up my mind.
I will be back to regular blogging on February 1st but before I start afresh I want to put another proposal forward.
To monetise or not to monetise my blog? - that is the question.
As I reported before Christmas I had an interview for a place on a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate course.
The good news is that despite the fierce competition I was offered a place.
The bad news is that I will not be earning for a year and on top of that I will have to pay course fees of more than £3,000.
I have been approached my a few companies to offer competitions and I was thinking of offering advertising space for a fee.
However, the success of my blog is all down to my regular readers so I would like to consult you.
Here is just one approach I have had from LuShae Jewelry and I am being totally honest here.
For every 30 people who visit the site from here I have been offered a cash sum.
It is tempting but I don't want to put you all off.
If you can spare the time let me know what you think.
See you soon.

I know I said I wouldn't post but I need your help.

I hate my hair.
I am suffering from January hair.
Static from constant central heating.
Lifeless after a month of eating rubbish.
Dark and dull due to the lack of sunshine.
I was growing it.
But I want to cut it.
Before I do here's a flashback to three looks:short, medium and long (for me).
My hair.
Should it go or should it stay?
You decide!

Taking A Break

Thanks to everyone who has followed my blog for the past year.
I love keeping up with everyone and sharing your news, views and great outfits.
I am amazed that I have been able to keep it up for so long.
But life is getting a little too crazy at the moment and I need to take a break.
I won't be posting for the rest of January but I will be keeping in touch with my favourite blogs.
And I may do a little bit of shopping starting with this leather jacket.
Have a great January and see you in February.

Vanilla

I am keeping it plain and simple today.
The vanilla cord skirt is so easy to wear.
The tan boots are old favourites.
This shade of blue always takes the chill off the winter for me.
And stripes.
I couldn't go a week without stripes.
All I need now is a cosy winter coat, check out these women's coats.

I wore:
Boots - Dorothy Perkins
Skirt - H & M
Top and sweater - Primark

For last year's words belong to last year's language..........

“For last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice.”
I love this TS Eliot quote.
It sums up perfectly how I feel as one year comes to a close and another begins.
Last night we celebrated New Year's Eve with our good friends and their sons.
After a meal together we listened to our sons play guitar and enjoyed some family games until midnight.
Our eldest sons, now 17 and 18 went off to enjoy parties with friends while two more of our friends arrived en route to another party.
It is the way we have celebrated New Year's Eve for several years now and I hope there are many more to come.
I have tried to visit as many blogs as possible to wish everyone a happy, healthy, wealthy and luck-filled 2010 but if I missed anyone out please accept my best wishes.
And let's raise our glasses to 2010!
