The Wall

I love this wall outside my front door.
It's perfect for banging your head against.
Only joking!
But life seems to have shown me a few too many brick walls recently.
On a brighter note.
I am glad to say me, my daughter and my car are feeling a lot better.
It looks like we may still have to hire the car.
Do you know what hurts me the most?
Just how many shoes/coats/dresses/jackets I could buy for the cost of the hire!
I hope you all have a lovely weekend.
And thanks everyone for your kind comments/hugs/good wishes.

Today I wore....
Boots - thrifted
Dress - Dorothy Perkins
Cardigan - Tesco

  1. I love brick walls (I mean the real red brick walls).

I hope your car gets fixed soon so that you don't need to hire anymore.

And I knew you'd say that about the uniform project. Hahaha! The thing is I'm not as creative as you people are. But I'm still working on your challenge.

  2. Glad you're feeling a bit better, sorry you will still have to spend good shoe money on a car.

  3. I'm glad the three of you are feeling better.
Sometimes I also get frustrated with the money I have to pay for things I don't fancy while I could have spent it in things I like. But that's life.
Our former car always managed to know when we would have some extra cash because it would break at those times.I so wanted to crash it's windows or something..

  4. Things are slowly working out. Now you do not have to bang your head. Just shake it from side to side. I know the price of a rental is expensive.

We had planned on flying to Florida, but with a flying ban (because of oldest son's health) now we have the option of driving. But I don't think either of our vehicles are reliable to do the treke of the entire east coast of the US.

Loving the color purple and your famous boots :)

  5. Oh I know what you mean.... my $2000+ of car repairs this summer could have gone to some many good things. But alas, a vehicle was a necessity.

  6. Pleased to hear you're feeling better, our car was written off in the school holidays and we had to hire a car too, an expensive and frustrating situation unfortunately! Have a nice weekend!

  10. Great dress, I like the little detail of the pleated (?) ruffle at the neck.

Hope the rent a car isn't too expensive and you'll have a little left for something new.

  11. So glad to hear things are looking up! By the way, it is shameful how long it has taken me to do this, but please watch your mailbox over the next 2-3 weeks for a package from me. :)

  13. Hope that everything worked out this weekend, Jane. I'm glad that you sound like you are feeling better.

I'm thinking over what I might be able to use all week for your capsule challenge - I'd love to play along if I can make it work!
