Spanish Senorita

"You look like a Spanish Senorita today," said one of my colleagues.
"Is that the look you were going for?"
I have to admit I was surprised.
Firstly, because I had picked the skirt out of my wardrobe in a rush with only the vague aim of finding something red, and secondly, because the observation was made by a male colleague.
Not only had he noticed the attire of a colleague but he had the creativity to observe a "genre" so to speak.
I told him that I hadn't gone for that look but admitted that I do like to dress up for work.
It makes facing the dark icy cold  mornings with a purpose in mind easier to bear.
I usually think abut what I will wear on the day while I am walking the dog at 6am.

How do you decide what you are going to wear?

Boots - Clarks
Skirt - Karen Millen
Top - Marks and Spencer

  1. Good job you didn't have a red flower in your hair! As I am indoors most days I don't think about it a lot, leggings, joggers or jeans most days!

  3. It depends.... usually on if I have something else to do during the day and don't have time to change.
Also depends if I have to go to school that day - and when i am uninspired i just look at the magazine clippings i keep and chose an outfit.
and you DO look like a modern day Spanish señorita.

  4. When it's so cold outside it is a good idea to think about places where it is warmer and more sunny. You look cute as a senorita!
Sometimes I decide what I will wear next day the evening before. Mostly I pick one piece out of my closet and try to find something matching to it.
    That's a time-killing method.

  6. I am always amused by who notices - and comments - on what I wear! Some men are quite interested, I think. The skirt does have a flamenco-ish feel to it, very pretty.
I sometimes think about The next day's potential outfits lying in bed before I go to sleep (which sounds a bit sad!) but more often it's a quick off-the-cuff decision in the morning, based on the weather and what's been ironed! xxxxx

  7. It was really nice of him to notice, bless him. I normally don't think about an outfit prior to opening my wardrobe first thing in a morning unless we are going out. And as I am up sure early I really should get better organised and prepared the night before.
