Spring Capsule Wardrobe Challenge Day Two
I am so full of the joys of spring today.
It is now light enough to go for a run with my dog in the morning at 7am which means I have enough time to get ready for work.
It was my friend Denise's birthday today and I had a rare daytime coffee with her.
I cycled everywhere on my bike with a basket (the car is still in the garage).
I was feeling so energetic I went for a second run with the dog at lunchtime.
And best of all - the sun is shing.
And even better there is no wind and when you stand still in the right place you can feel the warmth of the rays of the sun.
For the first time this year.
Oh Happy Day.
I have some special events lined up and am looking forward to getting out the evenning wear.
I may well invest in a new dress from this great selection.
I wore:
Clarks Boots
Dress - New Look
Blouse - Boden
Heart Pendant (B)

This is pretty. I like the spring flowers under the black dress. :)
ReplyDeleteLove this look... I can imagine you riding your bike wearing this ensemble... such a pretty sight.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! xoxo
One of my favorite combos - black with sweet florals!
ReplyDeleteOh, you look FANTASTIC! I love the look.
ReplyDeleteWhen i was checking out your capsule i did NOT spot this combo! Damn you're good at this! Fabulous as always :)
ReplyDeleteSonny here too but still very cold. A drizzle of snow during the night made me want to stay longer in bed. I'm a night owl but I wish I could get out running (or at least walking) early in the morning like you. Lovely blouse, perfect with the dark overdress. Ciao. A.
ReplyDeleteLovely black dress with the pop of the flowers!
ReplyDeleteI too am loving this sunshine - It makes me feel so much more like getting things done and beong positive - I d hope it stays for a while ....

An LBD and florals is a perfect combo, you're doing really well so far this week!
ReplyDeletegreat look! I love the pattern of your blouse!
ReplyDeleteLove how you made this outfit springy with the florals :-)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful day two! I love the floral shirt beneath the dress. Really cheerful! I'm so happy spring has found its way to you; unfortunately it was so rainy today in Virginia that I couldn't get decent pictures!

I wouldn't have thought to put the floral shirt under the black dress. Never too late to learn.

Ha, I did a long-sleeved tee layered underneath a shorter dressy top too, today!
ReplyDeleteVery cute and comfy-looking!
The pleated dress is lovely and the heart pendant is adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a fabulous dress! And the floral print is such a great touch!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day! I love how well that dress fits you, and the florals pop beautifully against the black. It's great how the capsule challenge prompts us to combine patterns or colors that I wouldn't have otherwise tried together.
ReplyDeletei love the flowers! im glad u had spring day! i want a bike with a basket ... :-)
ReplyDeleteI adore the necklace! If I were to wear a shirt under a dress like this, I don't think I would have worn a big statement piece over it, I just wouldn't have thought of it. But it looks really wonderful, so I'm eager to try to copy this look one day!
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, I thank you for this amazing challenege - On day two I wore a combination that I don't think I ever would have come up with if it weren't for creating a capsule wardrobe. Fun!
Great look and I'm really enjoying this again. Makes one very resourceful!!
