Hair Trouble
My hair is doing my head in - to coin a collaquial local phrase.
I can't decide whether to grow it or have it cut much shorter but still in a bob.
My youngest son wants me to grow my hair long again "just. 'cos."
I find it much easier to get ready when it's shorter.
I love the flexibility of longer hair.
But I hate the way my fine hair gets messy very quickly.
Short hair requires too many trips to the hairdressers to keep looking good - at least every six weeks.
My short bob looks so classic and thick and shiny.
I have made an appointment for Saturday but I still have no idea what I will ask my hairdresser to do.
Help!
Today I wore:
Shoes - Fitflops
Jeans - Top Shop
Vest - Gap
Shirt - Matalan

I would love to help but am having the same problem myself. Sounds like our hair is very similar.
ReplyDeleteI did a quick question on Facebook to get an idea what my friends thought and they said to grow it or keep it the same.
Let me know what you decide - it may help me too.
I also meant to say, great outfit. Particularly love the necklace - where is it from?
ReplyDeleteI'm voting short bob. Your hair looks so shiny and healthy that way.
ReplyDeleteLove the red check/jeans combo.

i've just been thru a makeover (hair, dress, attitude, the works - still ongoing) but the hair was the one thing which made the most sense eventually. i really got into looking at face shape and styles so when i arrived at my trusted hairdresser i knew what direction i was heading (!) in but left the rest up to her. i'm pleased with the result.
ReplyDeleteif you totally trust your hairdresser try setting a few boundaries e.g. keep the fringe, no layering etc. and then just let them do their thing - you should be pleasantly surprised.
If you're still undecided on Saturday, why not just get a trim and one of those awesome head-massage/super-conditioning treatments, and take your time deciding from there? Or, is your bob shorter at the back and longer on the sides? If not, would you be comfortable with that style?
ReplyDeleteI like it the way it is...I would maybe just trim it.
ReplyDeleteLeave enough hair to be able to put up in a pony tail for the warm months...?
I'm partial to short hair myself - easy to wash and style :) But you'll look great no matter what you choose, I am sure!
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely outfit, simple, but effective!
ReplyDeleteShort bob? Sounds great!
I'll give you the same reason that my mother used when she decided to grow hers long a couple years ago, after having much the same debate:
ReplyDelete"Most women reach a point in their lives when they can no longer pull off having long hair. I'm going to grow it out while I still can... there will be years to come when I can no longer enjoy the benefits of long hair, and I'd hate to be already tired of the benefits of short hair"
I'm going to guess that you are younger than my mom, and have many more long haired years ahead of you, but it's just a comment that stuck with me!
I'd love to see it long -- it can be a pain, but you can just pin it up if you're in a rush :) You'd look so classic with long hair!

I like it shorter, the bob is so classic and cute!
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
When I had a pixie cut I had to get a trim every four weeks. Exhausting!
ReplyDeleteI'm always the same, I'm wishing I had kept my hair longer now as it's at an annoying stage! Can't wait for my hair appointment!
ReplyDeleteAlso I've been meaning to ask you - where did you get your postcardsprinted up - like the one you sent with the shawl I won in your giveaway?
