Election Fever Part One: True Blue?
Today is the start of Election Week in the UK.
I am still having trouble deciding which party will get my vote.
However, one thing is certain I will be voting on Thursday as I am indebted to those brave women who put their lives on the line so that women got the vote.
And to celebrate the efforts of these women I will explore the options I have today which in effect comes down to four choices, blue, red, yellow or green.
Today I will consider the blue option.
But don't forget there is another important contest this week - the chance to win a Flamenco Shawl all the way from Seville.
If you haven't already check out the details here.
Today I wore:
Jeans - Top Shop
Shirt - Marks and Spencer
Wrap - Joe Brown
Boots - Clarks

Hi there-yes, Friday dawns a new PM, can't wait to see who gets in!!
ReplyDeleteIt's election time here in the Philippines too... one week to go before the voting.
ReplyDeleteLove your blue ensemble... so fresh! xoxo
what a pretty wrap! I've been contemplating buying one and couldn't think of how to wear it, so you've giving me an idea for when my shopping ban is over.
ReplyDeleteI'm more interested in the shawl competition but of course voting on Thursday is important. I won't be wearing or voting blue!
ReplyDeleteAnd in case you haven't peeked I posted about the comp on Sunday x
The color of that wrap is gorgeous! What a great find.

ReplyDeleteI love that wrap... such a good look on you!
ReplyDeleteI've made no secret on my blog of which way I hope things will go on Thursday!
ReplyDeleteOh my word doesnt blue suit you ? Like you about my vote, the jury is still out ,but agree about using my vote after all those determined women ,fought and suffered to get the vote for us ..love Jan xx
ReplyDeleteWe've been following the elections here in the states, especially your first ever debates for Prime Minister. They've gotten lots of play.
ReplyDeleteRecently I saw a wonderful documentary, Seneca Falls on womens fight for the vote on this side of the Atlantic. It also brought home how much further we need to go. I agree, vote and remember those strong, determined women without whom we would very possibly not have the right to vote.
I've been (sort of) following the election stuff from way over here. I'm definitely interested to see how it plays out.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I love this wrap cardi. It's so perfect!
My favorite sweater of yours! I'm curious to know whom you'll choose? Will you share it with us or keep it private? Either way, happy to hear you're voting!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad I don't have to think about elections for a while....
Chic on the Cheap
Hi, Jane, you are one clever lady! As usual I love all your outfits and admire the ease and style of presenting yourself. Inspired by you blog I have started to take pictures at Oxfam every Monday. Must write about it elsewhere and later. (Another private lesson with Klara from Klara's Crafts tomorrow.
